Maybelline 'The Nudes' Eye-Shadow Palette Review

I know I am a bit late with this but i wanted sufficient time to give my review about the eye-shadow palette named 'The Nudes' by Maybelline. It is great to see brands launching their makeup palettes in India as we do not have a lot of these in Indian market. Nude eye-shadow palettes are so versatile to work with and comes handy to everyone, from a novice to an expert. So lets see how this one fared.

Price: 899 INR for 9.6 g/0.34 oz

Packaging: It comes in a black colored palette with a see through top. It comes with a black colored sponge tip applicator (which I have lost :p). The packaging is very sturdy and travel friendly.

Shelf life: 3 years.

Ingredients:

How to use:

Shades:

1 - It is a gorgeous shimmery cream colored shade with a slight duo chromatic shine. This is my personal favorite as I also use it to highlight the highest points of my cheeks at times.

2 - It s a satin finish taupe shade which can be used all over the lid to add some dimension.

3 - It is a matte beige shade which can be used in inner corners of the eyes and under the brows to highlight.

4 - This one is a bronze shade with satin finish. It can be used all over the lids, mixed with the browns for a party look.

5 - It is a taupe color with matte finish.

6 - This is a matte grey shade.

7 - It is a metallic brown shade with satin finish.

8 - It is a matte brown shade. I use this to fill my brows as well.

9 - This is a gold shade with shimmery effect. It goes amazing with Indian outfits.

10 - It is a deep brown shade with satin finish.

11 - It is a shimmery cream shade.

12 - This one is a matte black.

My experience:

The texture varies with shades. The shimmery and satin shades are quite creamy and easy to work with whereas the matte ones are slghtly chalk and difficult to blend. The quality is nice for the price that it is offered. Except the matte black shade(12). It comes off very chalky and is hard to work with. Apart from that, I do not have any complaints about the quality.

Pigmentation also vraies with colors. The creamy ones tend to be more pigmented and blendable. I have swatched all the shades with just a single swipe and hence you can see it for yourslef.

The eyeshadows didn't crease without a primer which a great hit for me. They last for decent time but I would suggest to use a primer to increase their longetivity. Overall, I am pretty happy and impressed.

Pros:
1. Affordable.
2. 12 shades in one palette.
3. Travel friendly.
4. Sturdy packaging.
5. Decent pigmentation and longevity.
6. Most of the shades are easy to blend except 1 or 2.
7. Availability.
8. Neutral shades would suit the Indian skin-tone.
9. Quite a versatile palette. It can be used daily just to give a hint of color to the lids and also be used on special occasions and parties with the bronze, gold, brown and black.
10. All the ingredients are mentioned on the palette itself.
11. Matte brown shade can be used to fill brows.
12. Didn't crease.

Cons:
1. Matte black is a dud. It can be used for smoky look but is very hard to work with and is quite chalky.
2. The packing doen't have a mirror.

Great quality for the price.
