LA ROCHE-POSAY EFFACLAR DUO [+] Review

LA ROCHE-POSAY is a very well known and trusted skincare brand from France. The Effaclar range is one of the most famous product range by the same. This particular product named LA ROCHE-POSAY EFFACLAR DUO [+] aims at unclogging pores and correcting skin imperfections by diminishing any marks. Lets see how this fared.

Price: 1300 INR for 40 ml.

My experience:

I was hearing so many positive reviews about this product that I was intrigued to try this. I bought it online from Nykaa and expected it to work on few acne marks on my face. But it failed. The least that I expect from a product is it not working but this one led to some new skin issues. I feel that it clogged my pores because it led to closed comedones along my jaw line and on my cheeks which later turned into acne. It didn't correct any imperfections on my face or diminished any marks. 

It smells like freshly done laundry and that did not bother me.It surely glides on smoothly and gives a smoother surface to put the base makeup but I didn't buy it to prime my skin hence no brownie points for this. It doesn't make my skin oily and get absorbed in the skin quite fast. It is not at all moisturizing and hence it is mandatory to use it along with a daily moisturizer. I would not recommend this to even my enemy.

 Pros:

1. It glides on smoothly and primes the skin.

2. Mild fragrance.

3. Very little amount is required for the entire face.

Cons:

1. It clogged my pores and led to closed comedones.

2. Expensive.

3. Availability.

4. It is not at all moisturizing. In fact it might be drying for someone with dry skin.

5. It did not correct any skin imperfections.

6. It did not even lighten the acne marks after consistent usage.

My verdict:

Stay away from this one.
